![]() ![]() ![]() Karabiner-Elements saved me when I needed to remap the replacement keyboard (top case) on my previous MacBook Air, after the keyboard was replaced with the wrong model (wrong key caps). You can launch the uninstaller from Launch. Use the uninstaller to remove Karabiner-Elements from your system. (I mention this in case someone else has the same trouble and for some reason wants to waste a lot of time solving it.) Karabiner-Elements provides built-in uninstaller. Then I booted into it, mounted the older volume which was now just files and not a live System, and deleted the 3. Karabiner-Elements provides built-in uninstaller. So I created a new volume on my hard drive, installed Mojave (but it could have been any MacOS version). Thank you for observing that they will not affect the system.īut still, I wanted to delete them. I also tried single-user mode, but still not able to delete. I did a safe boot, but still not able to delete the 3. They successfully uninstalled a newly installed. When I click on the locked icon, I get, 'The application 'Karabiner-Elements' can't be opened. Used the uninstall script within the app but still see an icon for it with a lock symbol in the apps folder in Finder. 13 commands (deactivate_driver.sh and uninstall.sh) in Terminal. Tried out Karabiner-Elements but it did not turn out to be a good fit for what I was trying to do. ![]()
