The Athena is well made and the total system weighs only 3.8 ounces all together. Since it sends the noise and concussion forward there is no risk of the sight being damaged by concussion. The UIltradyne linear comp is one of the shorter comps for 5.56 guns, but it does do its job rather well. The flats also make it easy to remove the KVP Linear Comp. Grab a wrench, some blue tape, and tighten this bad boy down. The KVP Linear comp even has flats to make tightening it down extremely easy. The KAW Valley Linear comp is easy on and easy off, and comes in a wide variety of calibers. It’s now been about 2 years of use and is still in amazing condition. Keep in mind I live on the coast in Florida, lots of humidity and salt in the air. For about 5 days before I went back out to shoot more. Seriously, I was testing 9mm muzzle devices a year back and accidentally left this one and one other outside. KelTec Sub2000 with KAW Valley Compensator It’s got a slick melonite QPQ coating and I will testify that this is a strong and corrosion-resistant coating. It’s slick in design and is compact and very small overall. Of course, this is only applicable to the shooter. Toss in some subsonic 147-grain ammo and the lack of a supersonic crack and the concussion being pushed forward makes this as close to hearing safe as you can get without a can. I use it mostly on my Kel Tec Sub 2k and when combined with the right ammo this makes the gun very comfortable to shoot. The Kaw Valley Precision compensator was the first linear compensator I’ve ever used and it’s still in use on my 9mm carbines. The downside is they add length and they tend to be longer than most AR muzzle devices. That makes them quite legal in featureless builds. The compensator should be at least a little past the railĪlso, if your state bans flash hiders as some spooky thing these linear comps are not considered flash hiders. I keep one of my little 7.5-inch pistol and it’s almost pleasant to shoot. Linear Comps make shooting short barreled rifles or rifle style pistols much more comfortable overall. There isn’t much of a point to toss one of these on a 20 inch barreled AR, you could, but it’s a lot more effective on a 10.3-inch barrel. They tend to have the best effect on short barreled guns. Linear Comps aren’t for everyone or every gun. Shoots flat with no muzzle rise.Getting shot is generally bad for your health Why Choose a Linear Comp? I like the profile better than the MI muzzle brake I have on another AR. Love them.not too loud on a 16 inch piston upper, mitigates recoil like no other in this price range.does the job without looking door breaking tacticool Previously bought 2 of them is convert Communist Cali weapons to featureless, then last week bought a new upper and had to replace it's "dangerous" A2 flash hider also.so yeah, I'm now a 3-MI 2 chamber flash hider owner. Not that there was alot but does seem flatter. The MI two chamber is not any louder than aforementioned 51T and does seem to not raise as much dust and debris. My 556 had a AAC 51T that came on the AR, but when shooting from prone position raised hell with dust a debris. I have this on a 556 and the 30cal on my 762 ar10. I have not had a chance to put it to use due to very inclement weather in my area, so I cannot speak of its actual performance during live fire, but what I've seen in videos seems promising. The construction and finish seem quite well done and I'm sure it will perform adequately for my firearm and the caliber in use. VEPR AK74 using an adapter and it was very easy to install and index. Especially for a short barrelled AR pistol. Great recoil reduction and redirects sound signature well. 5 Works better than I thought it would !!.Works like a charm, 100% noticeable change in recoil and muzzle rise Love to wave this muzzle brake(Not a Flash Hider) under the nose of the Kali AG.the little Napoleon. Posted by The once Golden State on Jun 30th 2021 Does a great job mitigating the recoil as opposed to the Daniel Defense brake I was using on this weapon. The quality of the part is as expected with no rough edges or defects from manufacturing process. Seems to work well no complaints, was cheaper on other sites for the same product tho.
